12/30/2023 0 Comments Eve online killboardsIf you keep a target pinned long enough to let more corpmates alive and target paint it or take a little shot at it more people get kills and there are a lot more total points awarded. The effiency of isk killed to lossed is a joke too. ![]() ![]() I don't know where the point system came from and haven't seen a good explanation of it. (If I'm in a fleet of 20 and we find a fleet of 20 and miraculously everyone gets killed, my k:d ratio (from this skirmish) will be 20:1 but my alliance's k:d ratio should be 1:1. Well, at the alliance level they should be somewhat accurate but yeah at the individual pilot level, you should always have a very large k:d ratio. This leads to a significant kill:death ratio imbalance on anyone who tends to run around in a gang. In other words, if 20 guys all gang up on one poor suckah, 20 kills in total are credited (1 each to the gankers), while the gankee gets one loss. Killboard k/d ratios are based on numbers of kills contibuted to versus numbers of deaths suffered. Maybe that they're pretty much just e-p33n stuff with not much actual effect or meaning in-game ?īeginner's ISK making guide | Manufacturer's helper | All about reactingĮverybody shoots their fleet mates just before large battles to pad their stats.Ĭurrently Playing: Trolls from Outer SpaceĬurrent Equipment: VISAcard chain mail, +2 Amulet of Epic Whine, Self Banstick +2 Or the fact that every other one calculates its stuff in a different manner as to render direct comparisons almost pointless anyway ? The fact that they exist at all in the first place ? Have you ever wished you could have prevented a train wreck before it actually happened? I need to stop this one before the craziness begins. Or is the whole killboard model inherently wrong? Is there such a thing as honest killboard in EVE? So, where do all these missing kills come from? surely not the nameless noobsĪs a killboard ***** myself, I find this breach of integrity disturbing. Yet these alliances are killing each other in large scale fleet battles. The same pattern repeats over all weeks and all ship types - with exceptions, but the pattern is well defined. Lets take a look at Battleship kill/death ratio for major participants in Week 16 (last week)Īll the major players have positive rations, and everyone except IT alliance has more then 2x, often 3x ratios. But this can't account for the great excess in overall kills.įor example, we know there's a major war campaign going on in the north - the NC vs SC fight. Part of the "missing" kills may come from all the random noobs and Chinese farmers, that don't have well known killboards. In other for some to have high kill ratio, someone has to have low kill ratio. Mathematically it should be a zero sum game. Over the years playing EVE, I have noticed a pattern than the vast majority of killboards have high kill/death ratio. Side note: DUST 514 was the most fun I've ever had on a console game. If the numbers are even SLIGHTLY lower, I'll never be revisiting this game again. Eve mobile may have taken over, and that's a nasty precedence, seeing how amazing this PC MMO used to be. However, war mechanics have changed, player count has changed, price has increased. I watch the Zkill Killboards of mates I flew with years ago, almost religiously. I watch the Alliance tournaments, I watch streams and clips. Recently I've sort of been living vicariously in eve. There really is no motivation to spend money, or even my banked ISK, to buy omega. with the player base down nearly 75% from when I started. and I'm looking at around 1.6 billion ISK for a 30 day omega, per account. ![]() Logged in today, interested in playing again. It used to be so fun, so addicting, as a high-sec merc, I certainly made enough to pay for all of my ships, but not much for PLEXING my accounts. I would usually run 2 accounts, all paid for with my currency, CAD, so roughly 40-45$ a month. My main system of HEK is down from around 200 steady to close to 50 players. I've played and PAYED since 2009, with a few short breaks.
